If you learn to sit, lift, bend, carry, and sleep smarter, the likelihood of discomfort and risk of re-injury is reduced. If you have reconditioned as a result of leading a sedentary lifestyle or from restricting your activities as a consequence of pain, then you may also need to start a therapeutic stretching and strengthening program. Learning how to perform typical activities of daily life without increasing strain, and also training muscles to be more fit, will enable you to control your symptoms and prevent the likelihood of more serious problems in the future.
